Meet your teacher! I'm DJ Nicole Otero!
Born & raised New Yorker with Ecuadorian & Bolivian roots. I have been in love with music since I was a kid. Singing and playing classical piano since I was 6 years old. Studied at LaGuardia H.S. (Music & Art & Performing Arts H.S), BFA from NYU for Music Technology and a Masters in Music Education from Hunter, CUNY.
I am currently an Adjunct Professor at The Clive Davis Institute at Tisch/NYU, where I teach music production and DJ workshops.
I have been professionally DJing for 23 years. I got my first paid DJ gig after only buying my DJ setup 2 months earlier. A year later, I was DJing all over Europe playing underground deep house music. I now run my own DJ agency where I book myself and other DJs and earned over 150k 2023.
